Ohio State Reaches Top 10 in US News Online Program Rankings Again
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio State University is once again ranked among the top 10 universities for online programs, according to the 2022 rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.
Ohio State is tied for the seventh best online bachelor’s program with the University of Arizona and the University of Central Florida. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Florida tied for first place.
No other college in Ohio made the top 50. Bowling Green State University tied for 68th. Mount Carmel College of Nursing and Ohio University tied for 116th. Ashland University is tied for 138 and the University of Toledo was tied for 153.
Ohio State tied for the best online master’s degree in nursing program, and the University of Cincinnati tied for 11th place.
US News evaluated 1,733 online programs for its ranking. Only programs that had classes primarily online were considered, excluding in-person programs that moved online in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ranking looked at things like student engagement, the technology used in that class, faculty credentials, and the opinion of experts interviewed by the study.
